PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is referred to as ‘The Fountain of Youth’.  The procedure involves using the portion of your own blood plasma that is rich in growth factors. Once your blood is drawn, it is placed into a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets (“liquid gold”). The activated platelets release growth factors to stimulate and increase the number of reparative cells in the region where they are applied or injected.  

PRP has been safely used in sports medicine for decades to accelerate wound healing.  This regenerative medicine can be used as an injectable to generate collagen and elastin in areas such as dark, hollow under eyes or wrinkles such as smile lines, necklines, décolleté, or aging hands. PRP is also used as an injectable to restore hair loss in areas such as the scalp and eyebrows! It can also be added to microneedling treatments to enhance the results. Using your own growth factors to stimulate collagen production for tighter, brighter skin, eliminate fine lines and wrinkles, remove scars, and shrink pores.     Microneedling is referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy and, when combined with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), is considered the ‘Fountain of Youth’ of all facial treatments! This procedure is commonly known as a “vampire facial”.

    Our trained clinician uses a special microneedling device to create controlled micro-injuries in the dermis, stimulating the natural healing process which, in turn, promotes the remodeling of collagen and elastin.  This is a minimally invasive procedure reduces the signs of aging, improves skin tone, texture, acne scars and stretch marks.  The stem cells and growth factors are micro-needled into the skin to stimulate the tissues to regenerate and boost collagen, elastin, and fibrin to a whole new new level giving your skin that radiant, youthful glow.   • During a PRP injection session, a trained provider will draw your blood and place it into a centrifuge to separate the plasma from the red blood cells.  Then aesthetic clinician injects the prepared PRP syringes into specific areas of the face or body using a fine needle or micro-cannula.  In most cases, patients experience minimal discomfort during the procedure, which can be mitigated with topical numbing cream or local anesthesia if desired. The procedure typically lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.
